An aluminium dormer is the right call when the loft drawing wants to colour match to the windows, or when the cheeks are large and the client does not want a weathering metal. Standing seam or flat lock systems, with bespoke set out to the reveals. We form the cheeks, the roof and the fascias in one metal so the dormer does not arrive as three different flashings.

Aluminium is the metal we recommend when weight, colour or the coast argues against zinc. It does not patinate like zinc or copper. It stays the colour it is coated. It is light, so it suits a roof structure that was not designed for a heavy covering, and it retains its integrity for long life on exposed and coastal sites.

Aluminium cladding is either a standing-seam or flat-lock skin on a vented board, or a rainscreen cassette on rails with a cavity. The cavity is not optional. Both coastal and urban project suit this material We match the roof metal for any colour on rainwater goods or ornate detailing.
